Inflammation Achilles tendon
Achilles tendon is the tendon that connects the heel bone with the calf muscle. This is the part that is stretched over our heel, which lengthens with the movement of ‘Flex’ and shortens with the movement of ‘Point’. You can see it and feel it.
This tendonitis develops in unstrained athletes, who begin to perform a lot of athletic activity without proper preparation. It is also common among professional athletes after a period of overload.
Inflammation is accompanied by dull tendon pain (the back of the foot, above the heel) which gradually increases as you run or jump.
There are several reasons for the development of inflammation:
running over excessively hard or soft surfaces (running in the sand, for example) that cause tendon overexertion, or use of shoes that do not fit the terrain,
changes in arch structure or restriction of ankle movement.
Treatment
- Rest, Ice
- elevation of the heel for the purpose of reducing tension
- insole
Achilles tendinitis may return and become a chronic inflammation. It must therefore be fully treated until complete recovery.
Achilles pain and discomfort can have reasons that are not written here.
And even if you recognize all the symptoms, it is still not 100% sure you are suffering from this injury! Stay calm, and if you are worried that you have experienced this injury, see a doctor who will examine you!
Beyond the injury in this article, the pain you feel may be inflammation, a tight muscle, or a muscle nut that is squeezing and causing discomfort.
If it is a tight muscle or a muscle nut that presses on the painful area. We recommend a professional massage! If you want to do everything yourself, go to a video we have prepared especially for you on the subject of muscle release.
It is important that you learn about your body, knowing that when tissue is damaged in the body, the immune system responds. In response there are 2 stages:
The inflammatory stage – at this stage the body diverts the tissues destroyed by body cells that are designed to do so. At this stage, the blood flow to that area is increased.
Construction phase – At this stage the body repairs itself, rebuilds itself and repairs the damage caused. This process is injury dependent and can take up to several months.
